How we handle your data.
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This policy explains what personal data is collected when you visit nonsensesounds.com, why, and what rights you have. We keep it short and in plain language.
NONSENSE SOUNDS is an independent music imprint run by a group of producers and artists based in Romania. We are not a company. For anything related to your data, write to us at contact@nonsensesounds.com.
If you use the contact form, we receive your name, email address, the subject you choose and your message. We use them only to read and answer your message. Messages are sent to our email inbox and a copy is stored in the website’s database.
Legal basis: your consent, which you give by ticking the box on the form (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). We keep messages for as long as the conversation needs it and delete them within 2 years, or sooner if you ask.
The contact form uses Google reCAPTCHA v3 to block spam bots. reCAPTCHA looks at technical information such as your IP address, browser and how you interact with the page, and sends it to Google.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of spam (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). See Google’s Privacy Policy.
With your permission, we use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they read and roughly where they come from. This helps us decide what to improve. Google Analytics only runs after you accept analytics cookies in the cookie banner.
Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can change your choice at any time with the cookie button in the corner of the page.
Some pages show players from Spotify and YouTube so you can listen and watch without leaving the site. When these players load, Spotify or YouTube receive technical information such as your IP address and may set their own cookies. Their use of your data is covered by the Spotify Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy.
Like every website, our server records basic technical data when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. Our host uses this to deliver the site and keep it secure, and our security plugin uses it to block attacks. These logs are kept for a short time and are not used to identify you.
Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a safe, working website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We use a few cookies that the site needs to work and, only with your consent, cookies for statistics and embedded content. The full list is in our Cookie Policy.
We never sell your data and we don’t use it for advertising. Some of these services may process data outside the European Union. Where they do, they rely on safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Under the GDPR you can ask us to:
You can also withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it. To use any of these rights, email contact@nonsensesounds.com. We’ll answer within one month.
If you think we have handled your data wrongly, you can complain to the Romanian data protection authority, ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro), or to the authority in the EU country where you live.
This site is not aimed at children under 16, and we don’t knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
If we change how we use your data, we’ll update this page and the date at the top.
